A solid, Lutyens designed arts and craft house found deep in the Surrey hills. Just over an hour out of London. Surrounded by beautiful countryside with rambling grounds and walled gardens. Guests relax the day away at the hotels small but beautifully formed spa and outdoor pool followed by a meal and cocktails at the hotels bar and restaurant, whose seasonal menu’s are inspired by the surrounding areas.
After being loving restored with a new lease of life by David and Caroline, The Spindleberry has become part of a new wave of modern country hotels that ditches stuffiness and pretension, prioritising comfort and indulgence over ostentatiousness.
The aim of this project is to match the hotels exceptional reputation and distinct interior style to its branding. Creating something that will do this beautiful establishment justice.
Whilst honoring the arts and craft movement that encapsulates the architecture and interior design of the hotel, the branding will have a homely and comforting sense that is relaxing and welcoming.
The branding will be grounded in the hotels’ 19th century roots but with a warm and comforting feel, steering away from any stuffiness and prention and feeling completely inviting. It will be recognised as new and distinctive, delightfully styled and completely aspirational.
The three words for the brand are:
Comforting, Rich and Warm.
